A loving tribute to our childhood hero's, JP Patches and Gertrude.I originally created this drawing with pen & ink and water color, as a commissioned piece of art, for a client in Oregon, However, I've had such overwhelming response to the drawing, I decided to make it available as a print to Patches Pals (and Boris Buddies) everywhere!
About Michael Hopkins

Michael grew up inspired by the art of Chuck Jones, Al Hirschfeld and former Seattle Post Intelligencer cartoonist Bob McCausland...and of course, the humor of Seattle icon, J.P. Patches. As far back as Michael can remember he had a pen in his hand. Michael began drawing in the 3rd grade by creating "art" down the sides of his classwork (no doubt inspired by Mad Magazine) and continued to cultivate his art throughout his school years. At Charles A. Lindbergh High School (in Renton, Washington) Michael was introduced to the art of Pen & Ink by his Art...
